With the first of the winter chills already hitting it’s a good time to reflect on the lavender farm’s location – lavender by the sea.
One of the reasons we first chose this spot was the fantastic views down the length of Akaroa harbour. The aqua blue waters, and the view, stretch almost all the way the Akaroa Heads.
While we haven’t yet been able to spot Hectors Dolphins, Orca or the occasional Southern Right Whale from the lavender fields , we know they’re out there!
Maybe we need to raise our heads from the lavender more often…
We continue to believe the benefits of our lavender mist (hydrosol) remain a bit of a mystery to some of you. Recent research has suggested it has a great future as a stabiliser and continues to support it;s use as an anti fungal or bacteria agent.
