It’s been a really mild winter in Akaroa, the first snows only falling on the property in early August. It’s the in between time for seasons.
Our first snows feel on August 13th with snow starting to fall on the Friday and all day Saturday. The lavender fields sit at around 152 metres above sea level, at the top of the property (250 metres) the frozen snow persisted through until Monday.
It’s great to see snowflakes and the first fine day afterwards is always stunning!
