rain, snow, and Ray…
Morena
It’s a late winter’s day; rain all around, snow on the hills and Ray LaMontagne oozing through the speakers.
Yesterday we finished the last of the pruning. An annual event we usually try and complete before the first frosts of Autumn. We are a little behind this year, but the older Grosso plants are capable of handling a “haircut” despite the possibility of late winter frosts.
The weather will keep us indoor by the fire today! Perfect weather for searching for lavender themed songs. Ray LaMontagne is an American singer song-writer who has been described as cross between Van Morrison, Nick Drake, Tim Buckley and Stephen Stills. He has variously been described as an “impeccably weathered tenor croon” with “marble mouthed phrasing”.
We are listening to Lavender from his album Supernova!
On a more lavendery note our 2,000 baby Pacific Blue plants are starting to show some growth. There soon won’t be anytime for sitting by the fire.
