Its mid-winter – cold but little rain so far. Some occasional snow falls high on the old slopes of the volcano but compared to other years there’s little to add white tips to the green forested hills.

Snow has little impact on lavender, the wily plant quickly springs back once the melt begins. We’ve seen our lavender covered perhaps, twice in 12 years. The early Autumn pruning means the plant is well hardened prior the first frosts of May or the winter or spring snows that follow.
